RCC We Care

Founders Message

Ever since my pre-teen years when my mother got me started as a volunteer at our local hospital, participating in and giving back to the community is something I have always done. This very personal value of mine is also part of the corporate ethos in all of the businesses I am involved in. We call it ‘We Care’. You can read below about all the good work we are doing in the communities we serve and how you can join us in this important journey.

About Virlanie Foundation, Inc

Virlanie Foundation is a non-profit organization based in the Philippines that provides care and support to street children. The foundation was established in 1992 by Dominique Lemay, a French social worker who was moved by the plight of street children in Manila. The foundation operates several programs that aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment for street children. These programs include residential homes, outreach, and educational programs. They also provide livelihood programs to empower families to become self-sufficient and stable home environment for the children.

By partnering with Virlanie Foundation, we, at Right Choice Capital can make a significant impact on the lives of street children and their families. We commit to continue in contributing for the betterment of society.

RCC supports Virlanie Foundation to and help provide a safe and nurturing environment for street children. At Right Choice Capital, we help build a sense of community within our company and foster a culture of giving back.

Last April 29, 2023 for two (2) consecutive years, RCC became one of the major sponsors of MEYADO’S Black Tie Black Eye Affair where Virlanie Foundation is their chosen beneficiary. Black Tie Black Eye Affair  is a white-collar boxing fundraiser successfully punching poverty at Shangri-la The Fort, Manila.

An evening of fun, excitement and most especially fulfilling experience as Meyado was able to raise fund to continue Virlanie’s program and knowing we at Right Choice Capital is a part of this remarkable event is something we can really be proud of.

Unsung Heroes was a nationwide campaign to encourage appreciation for our personal heroes. In return, we selected 3 winners each month with the best written message with a $50 Little Caesars Pizza voucher to share a meal with their nominated unsung hero. The campaign has brought people together to thank their personal heroes and garnered 80 posts on our website specially designed for this campaign.

Beyond Social Sponsorship

Little Caesars Pizza Singapore partnered up with Beyond Social Services to contribute part of our sales proceeds of the Charity Bundle that was launched exceptionally for this donation drive. The Charity Bundle  consist of a pizza, Pepsi and a side where $5 of the sale proceeds for each bundle was donated to the charity.

Super24 Dance Competition Sponsorship

Little Caesars Pizza Singapore has also supported many groups on their passion. One of it is the Super 24 Dance Competition showcase in Singapore. We supported a platform given for dance enthusiasts to showcase their talents and unity on the stage. The 2-day event was held at Tampines Hub, audience packed on 13 and 14 August 2022. We sponsored 80 pizzas on both dates to show our appreciation for the volunteers of the event, and provided vouchers specially for the dance participants. To bring more crowd to the event in support of the performances showcase, we sponsored cash gift vouchers to the audience who were picked to answer questions regarding the competition.

Teachers' Day Celebration for 30,000 Early Childhood Educators:

This sponsorship was part of our Unsung Heroes theme campaign in recognition of the early childhood educators' contribution in Singapore. We partnered with Preschool Market, in collaboration with ECDA in lieu of this campaign. Little Caesars Pizza Singapore participated in the celebration by providing special vouchers for the educators included in their Self Care Pack.

Representing Singapore in Sport

Upon arriving in Singapore in 2005, Kodi got involved in the sports community through ice hockey. In July 2007, his first official role volunteering in sports development in Singapore began when he was voted in as President of the Singapore Ice Hockey Association (at the time it was the Amateur Ice Hockey Association (Singapore)). He built upon the strong foundation set by his predecessors and was able to get the Association recognized by Sports SG (formerly the Singapore Sports Council) as the nationally recognized Association for ice hockey.

Kodi is still an active member of the Singapore Men’s National Ice Hockey Team. Competition results and highlights are below:

2023 World Championships

Singapore just missed the podium in Bosnia after losing in overtime to eventual 3rd place finishers, Hong Kong. At 43 Kodi was still able to keep up with his younger teammates and even recognized as Singapore’s Most Valuable Player in the game against their toughest opponent and gold medal winners, Kryzgystan.

2019 SEA Games

In 2019 Kodi was instrumental in helping the Singapore Men’s National Ice Hockey Team earn its highest ever result with a silver medal at the SEA Games. Not only was he the team’s leader in goals, assists, and points with less than a minute to go he scored the game winning goal against the Philippines to propel Singapore into the finals.
